August Berkshire will be the guest speaker at the Critical Thinking Club in St. Paul, Minnesota. His topic will be “The Problem of Evil.” The event is open to the public but RSVPs are requested. For more information, see the CTC’s page.

I will be interested to find where that topic will go. I’ll want to attend. It’s promising, but an uphill climb. One thing I like to say is that all beliefs, including the one that God doesn’t exist, is based upon your faith. Remember Heisenberg’s uncertainty? Could August remain relaxed in the face of such a mild argument?
I can’t help but appreciate anyone that seems to want more freedom for the individual, but sometimes just sitting quietly can accomplish than pontification.
